Bedford Blues leap-frogged their opponents Nottingham into third place in the Greene King IPA Championship with an impressive 30-12 win under the Friday night lights.

Bedford Blues welcome Nottingham to Goldington Road under the Friday Night Lights in Round Eight of the Greene King IPA Championship.

Games between Bedford and Nottingham have a habit of being hard fought and closely contested affairs with the British & Irish cup encounter just four weeks ago being a perfect example as the Blues picked up a 26-38 win at Lady Bay.

Three points separate the two teams in the league table and Bedford know that they will need to be at their best to overcome Ian Costello's men.

The Blues are back at home this Friday under the lights against Nottingham in another critical encounter as Bedford hope to keep pressure on the Championship top four (Kick Off 7:45pm).

The fixture is the Club's 7th annual Armed Forces and Emergency Services evening with free entry to all serving personnel, simply show your ID at the gate on match day for free ground access.

As the world commemorates the centenary of World War One, the Blues are supporting those who put their lives on the line for the freedom of others and placing thanks to members of the police, fire and ambulance services who aid and assist the public every day in the UK.
