ACADEMY TO FACE LONDON SCOTTISH

The Blues Academy kick off their fixtures when they welcome London Scottish to Goldington Road this Saturday, August 22nd, Kick Off 12 noon.

Blues Academy Director, Denis Ormesher, said: “We have 12 of last year's squad returning this season, and we have some good youngsters who have been with on trial this summer.  They have all worked hard over the summer, and are beginning to come together as a squad."

"Last year was another successful season, with some fine wins, but as always with rugby it is all start again this season."

"We had a very useful internal trial game on Saturday with over 40 players involved, but there is no substitute for a competitive game, against a quality club like London Scottish, to test players.  We are looking forward to seeing how some of the new lads perform, and how the squad comes together, against Scottish."

With the Blues away in Devon you have the chance to see how the Blues of the future are developing.  The game against London Scottish is at Goldington Road this Saturday, August 22nd , Kick Off 12 noon, and will be played as three 30 minute periods.  The bar is open and all are welcome.
