BIGGER & BETTER THREE DAY RUGBY & BEER FESTIVAL

Two of the town’s great institutions are coming together once again to host a spectacular, bigger and better, three day Rugby and Beer Festival weekender at Goldington Road on Friday 16th, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th October following the inaugural success of the event last season.
While there is nothing better than watching Bedford Blues playing rugby, the experience can always be improved and in under two weeks Blues fans will be able to enjoy top-class rugby alongside some of the finest beers available from our good friends at Charles Wells Brewery.
Following the success of last season’s two day festival, the Blues have again teamed up with Charles Wells to offer a bigger and better three-day mini festival of the greatest sport and the best beers including Eagle IPA, Bombardier, Burning Gold, Courage Best, Courage Directors, Young's Bitter, Young's Special, Young's Gold, Try Time, McEwans IPA, Adnams Bitter, Black Sheep, Cambridge IPA, Thirst Blood, Wadworth 6x, My Generation, amongst others.
The festival gets underway on Friday 16th October in the Blues Marquee when Mike Rayer’s men face Rotherham Titans in the Greene King IPA Championship. Gates open at 5pm giving the Goldington Road faithful plenty of time to sample some of the best beers around before the game kicks off at 7.45pm.
The following Saturday and Sunday it’ll be much of the same on the beer front, but this time the rugby entertainment will come courtesy of the big screen as the 2015 Rugby World Cup reaches the Quarter Final stage.
Doors will be opening at 3pm on Saturday with the first QF kicking off at 4pm before New Zealand look likely to take to the field at 8pm. Sunday will see an earlier start of 12 noon before kick offs at 1pm and 4pm. Throughout the weekend Nos’s Nosh will be offering a smorgasbord of delicacies including meat platters and cheese boards from only £3.00!
Entry to the Friday night beer festival is included in the price of your Bedford Blues v Rotherham Titans match day or season ticket, but there will be a small charge for a ‘Bedford Blues beer glass’. Whilst Saturday and Sunday will be free entry to all, we just ask you buy a glass and finish our beer.
Tickets for the match are available online at www.theclubshop/bedfordblues with an online discount of £2 or can be bought from the gate on match day.
