BLUES ANNOUNCE SSG SERVICES GUARD OF HONOUR

Bedford Blues are pleased to announce a partnership with SSG Services in sponsoring and providing the Blues Guard of Honour on match days at Goldington Road.

The revamped initiative is hoped to improve the match day experience for participants and spectators alike as we welcome the next generation to Goldington Road for a special experience.

If you have a school, club or general group that would be interested in forming the GOH at a home Blues match then we would love to hear from you. Simply email gareth@bedfordrugby.co.uk with your details and we will try to accommodate.

SSG, who will run the tunnel and also a specific coaching session on the training pitch beforehand, are a Bedford business established in 2003 and has provided a wide range of activities, events and training to children, young people, adults, schools and businesses within the town and the surrounding areas.

Chris Watson, Managing Director of SSG, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Bedford Blues in sponsoring their match day Guard of Honour. We look forward to working with lots of keen youngsters over this and next season to provide them with an unforgettable experience. The day will consist of a meet and greet from the SSG Activities and Events staff, a practice session on the Bedford Blues training pitch, followed by waving the flags while the players, officials and coaching staff enter the field.

“The Blues GOH experience has huge synergy with our core business of providing physical activity and practical experiences.”

Gareth Alred, Operations Manager of Bedford Blues, said: “We are very exciting to see this new initiative growing with the support of SSG. The package is a welcome addition to the Blues match day and we hope young groups enjoy the experience and urge them to contact us to get involved.

“We have produced a new handheld flag as part of the GOH, also available in the Club Shop, and along with the certificates the participants receive, we think together with SSG every child should have a memorable event whilst watching Bedford Blues.”
