COLIN BARNES (LIFESURE CHAIRMAN) 1934-2017

It is with great sadness that the Club has been informed that Colin Barnes, Chairman of Lifesure Group, one of Bedford Blues main sponsors and club supporters has passed away suddenly at the age of 83 years-old.

Colin has been a long-time fan of the Blues and his company have been extremely proud sponsors for the past 12 years providing much needed support which has been greatly appreciated by everyone at the club. 

Lifesure Insurance was opened by Colin in May 1971 and he has led the company to huge success in a very competitive insurance broker market.

At home at his house in the Isle of Man, Colin Barnes passed away this morning, Wednesday 6th December. The Club would like to extend their deepest sympathy to his wife Elizabeth, his children Ric and Simon and the rest of the family.

The Club Flag will be flying at half-mast for the next week and home match against Munster on Saturday 16th December.
