FREE ENTRY FOR ARMED FORCES & EMERGENCY SERVICES

For the fifth season running Bedford Blues will be offering free entry to Goldington Road to any serving member of the armed forces or the emergency services when Yorkshire Carnegie visit in the Greene King IPA Championship on Friday 14th November.

As the world commemorates the centenary of World War One and at a time when servicemen and women are still involved in conflicts around the globe, the Blues want to offer something to those who put their lives on the line for the freedom of others.

The club also want to say a big thank you to members of the police, fire and ambulance services who aid and assist the public every day in the UK.

Looking ahead to the 'Friday Night Lights' fixture Bedford Blues Director of Rugby Mike Rayer said: “I am delighted that Bedford Blues are once again able to invite servicemen and women as well as the emergency services along to the game, and I hope that as many people as possible are able to take advantage of this offer at such a poignant time of year.

“Games against Carnegie are always hard fought affairs with both sides going at it hammer and tong. We have a great respect for the visitors and I know that they will come here ready for a cracking encounter on the field.”

To gain free entry to Goldington Road, members of the armed forces and emergency services just need to arrive at the front gates on the night and show their identification cards. Gates open at 5.00pm with Kick Off at 7.45pm.
