Bedford Blues return home this Saturday 7th November ready to make Goldington Road a fortress as they take on promotion hunting Yorkshire Carnegie in their first home match in three weeks.

Mike Rayer’s troops have enjoyed a strong start to the season, narrowly defeating Ealing Trailfinders last time out to elevate their league table position to fourth, but they will be expecting a very tough challenge against Bryan Redpath’s men who currently lie second in the standings.

The Headingley Carnegie outfit have invested heavily to put together a competitive squad with title aspirations which this weekend could feature rugby league legend and convert Kevin Sinfield following his first week of training.

This Saturday’s match will also be the Club’s annual Poppy Appeal date prior to Remembrance Day, please donate at each bar and support this great cause. The Blues will be offering free entry to any serving member of the armed forces or the emergency services, just show your identification cards to the gate staff on match day.

Marquee hospitality is full, but a full host of catering options are available around the ground from either of the outlets or dine with Nos pre-match in the Scrum Hall. All bars will be open from 12 noon so make the most of your day at Goldington Road with Guest Ales this week in the Eagle Bar and the Blues Marquee.

Head to the marquee after the match for live music with Mark Calder and the Anglian Fasteners Man of the Match presentation. This Saturday’s Match Sponsors are Dovecote Park, look out for their free ticket giveaways around the ground.

Gates open at 12 noon ready for kick off at 3pm with discounted online tickets still available at www.theclubshop.co.uk/bedfordblues so book early to take advantage. Tickets will also be available at the gate on match day.
