Championship action returns to Goldington Road this Saturday 21st September as Bedford Blues welcome Ealing Trailfinders in the first round of the Cup competition (KO 3pm).  Save £4 and book tickets online here.

The Blues have finished third in the league table two years on the trot, with Ealing pipping them to second on both occasions, giving Mike Rayer’s men plenty of motivation ahead of the first competitive bout this weekend.

Added to that, Bedford managed a terrific home win over Ben Ward’s charges last season, and will be hunting a similar result to kick start the season.

Following a long pre-season campaign, including a comprehensive victory over Cambridge in August and a 39-14 loss to Cardiff Blues last week, Rayer’s troops will be champing at the bit to tackle a much fancied Ealing side. The Blues side will be released on Friday and is expected to feature a few former Trailfinders players.
