MATCH PREVIEW V LONDON SCOTTISH

Bedford Blues make six changes as they look to return to winning ways in the Greene King IPA Championship when they visit London Scottish on Saturday afternoon.

It was a case of 'close but no cigar' for the Blues against London Irish last weekend as they were defeated by three points in a thrilling game at Goldington Road.

Of course, the word thrilling really does apply to Bedford's last visit to London Scottish in December 2017 when the sides drew 52 all in a truly remarkable game.

Looking ahead to the weekend, Blues Backs Coach Paul Larkin said: "The lads worked incredibly hard last Saturday making 250 tackles in the process. We also left a couple of opportunities out there as well so all in all it was a performance that we can take a lot of confidence from.

"We also know that the Championship provides a different and difficult challenge every week. London Scottish must be brimming with confidence after their last couple of games and also the fact that they beat us at home earlier in the season."

The Blues make half a dozen changes from the team that was narrowly beaten by London Irish last weekend. Matt Worley starts at outside centre with Lewis Robling moving inside while Dean Adamson starts on the wing. Lee Dickson has recovered from illness and will pair alongside Will Hooley who also returns from injury while in the pack, Jacob Fields and Alex Penny return to the front row.
