Bedford Blues fullback James Pritchard will join England’s Chris Jones and international players from Argentina, Fiji, Namibia and the USA in the Barbarians squad taking on Heriot’s next week to celebrate the Edinburgh club’s 125th anniversary.

Aviva Premiership and Greene King IPA Championship sides Exeter Chiefs, Saracens, Bedford Blues, Cornish Pirates, Jersey and Yorkshire Carnegie are all supporting the iconic invitation side for the Investec Cup match at Goldenacre on April 21 (6pm).

Head coach Sean Lineen has called up former England flanker and lock Jones from Yorkshire Carnegie, the side he joined last summer after spells at Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors in a career that saw him win 12 caps.

Brought in from Premiership sides are powerful Fiji centre Sereli Naqelevuki and Namibia wing Chrysander Botha from Exeter, while USA prop Titi Lamositele - the youngest ever Eagles player at the age of 18 in 2013 - and former England Under 20 flanker Matt Hankin join from Saracens.

Argentina hooker Martin Garcia-Veiga and club captain and lock Alex Rae are included from Jersey, and Cornish Pirates provide club captain and flanker Chris Morgan and lock Laurie McGlone.

Lineen can also call on Bedford Blues full back James Pritchard, who has appeared in three World Cups for Canada and is their all time leading points scorer..

Former Scotland internationals Gordon Ross, Bruce Douglas and Scott Macleod have already been named in Lineen’s squad.

The full line-up for the April 21 game will be confirmed after next weekend’s round of club matches.
