LATEST: Blues Academy 29pts:  London Scottish Academy 21pts:  Match Report to follow.

After a tough game against Leinster last week, the Blues Academy continue their pre-season preparations on Saturday when they welcome the London Scottish Academy to Goldington Road (Kick Off 1.30 pm).

Making their debut for the Blues in the pack are youngsters Charlie Clarke (Ampthill) and Ben Thompson and Callum Strachan (both Bedford Junior Blues).

Making their Blues’ debut in the back line are scrum half Lewis Dennett, wing Sam Palmer (both Brockenhurst College and Bournemouth), scrum half Dylan Leney (Palmerston North High School and Manawatu Academy, New Zealand), centre Stuart Livesey (Olney) and full back Toby White (Eastern Counties U18s and 20s and London & SE U18s).  The Blues are captained by ex-Dulwich College captain Felix Maddison.

Blues Academy Director, Denis Ormesher, said ….“Both London Scottish and ourselves are using the game as a means of looking at a number of new players, and new combinations.  The game will consist of three 30 minute periods with both clubs having large squads.  Scottish will present a tough test again for our new players.  We were lucky to beat them at the end of last season, and they will be looking to reverse that result this time out.”
