This weekend Bedford Blues earlybird Season Ticket prices draw to a close, but for any applications sent across the weekend the Club will hold the discount prices. The Blues 2015/16 membership campaign saw another successive price freeze for renewing Season Ticket holder supporters. Below, we have produced a short video and rationale around our 'Join the Blues family' showreal demostrating the real people who make the club what it is... YOU!

DUO PEN NEW DEALS

Bedford Blues have taken their squad number up to 31 after two more players signed new deals to remain at Goldington Road for the 2015/16 Greene King IPA Championship season.

Fly-half Steffan Jones and back row forward Josh Buggea have both put pen-to-paper to remain at the Blues for the new campaign.

Jones, 24, joined the Blues on a permanent deal in January 2015 following his involvement with Wales in the HSBC Sevens World Series. Jones first signed for Bedford in the summer on a year long loan move from Newport Gwent Dragons, but was recalled by the region in early November before heading off with the National Sevens Team.

Bedford Blues are searching for an energetic and enthusiastic Bar & Events Manager.  The candidate must hold a Personal Licence and have previous experience in running a bar and delivering events.  We require an individual who has a strong work ethic and can do attitude.

Duties include; stock control, cash reconciliations, staff management and training, keg, line and wastage management, compliance of all statutory regulations.

QUARTET OF BLUES RE-SIGN

Bedford Blues are delighted to announce that four further members of the current squad have put pen-to-paper on new deals to remain at Goldington Road next season.

The quartet of stars are lock Harry Wells, scrum-half Peter White, fly-half Jake Sharp and centre Mike Le Bourgeois.

Speaking to the official Club website this morning about the four re-signings, Blues Director of Rugby Mike Rayer said:

BLUES TAKE ON FIVE SARACENS YOUNGSTERS

Bedford Blues and Saracens will once again be working together next season as it was confirmed that five talented youngsters will be heading to Goldington Road for the 2015/16 Greene King IPA Championship season.

The likes of Owen Farrell, George Kruis, Jackson Wray, James Short, Ben Ransom and Will Fraser all gained valuable experience with the Blues before going on to make a huge impact with Saracens and the same is hoped for the current crop who will be heading up the M1 from Allianz Park.

The NSPCC has teamed up with the Bedford Blues, who are supporting the charity’s latest campaign – The Really Big Board Game Day, and are appealing to people across Bedford to stage an event and help make the day a regular in the social calendar.

If you’re a Monopoly fanatic, an Operation obsessive or a Buckaroo evangelist, then why not get a few friends, neighbours or colleagues together to play your favourite board games on Friday 15 May, and you can help to protect childhoods from abuse and neglect.

MATCH REPORT: PRITCHARD'S TESTIMONIAL

Goldington Road was treated to a try-fest on Friday night as Bedford Blues players of past and present came together to celebrate James Pritchard’s Testimonial Season.

Skippy’s Year is drawing to a close, but the best was saved for last as the Blues legend invited past teammates, and a few other friends, to go head-to-head with the current crop as a Bedford Select XV took on Skippy’s Invitational under the Friday Night Lights.

Ahead of kick-off, the thousand strong crowd were treated to some exceptional rugby displays from around 150 Junior Blues who had the chance to compete on the Goldington Road turf before the main event.

SKIPPY'S TESTIMONIAL MATCH LINE-UPS

James Pritchard’s Testimonial Match kicks off this Friday 8th May, as a Bedford Blues select XV will be taking on Skippy’s Invitational XV for a special event to honour his commitment to the club (Kick Off 7:30pm).

With many former Blues’ stars returning to Goldington Road, Bedford supporters are sure to be treated to a spectacular game of rugby in aid of Bedford’s favourite import.

ACADEMY END OF SEASON AWARDS

The Bedford Blues Academy Player Awards were presented by Bedford Blues President, Gareth Davies, at the Academy End of Season dinner at Goldington Road.

The Most Improved Player award was won by full back Jack Stapley.

The Young Player of the Year award was won by centre Aaron Martin.

The Player of the Year award was won by scrum half, Chris Easton.
